South Island Plantation on Winyah Bay boasts what is arguably some of the very best scenery on the Grand Strand.

South Island Plantation winds serenely through Carolina pines, massive oaks, numerous marshes and ponds on the shore of scenic Winyah Bay.

For  recreation, it's hard to top our location in the almost perfect year-round weather, combined with the convergence of the Atlantic Ocean, Winyah Bay, Sampit, Black, Waccamaw and Big Pee Dee Rivers. These Intra-coastal waterways offer numerous boating and fishing opportunities with one of the main public boat launching facilities located at the end of our very own South Island Road.
